This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Enmarc Blog Hop

Hi Everyone

Just a reminder re the Enmarc Bloh Hop starting 01 Sep 2012.

Please note that these are the overall general rules and that each host will have their own challenge rules in addition to these rules.
  1. You must become a follower of each of the blogs hosting the blog hop or alternatively befriend the host on Facebook if she does not own a Blog. The Facebook hosts will create one single post for all comments and replies to keep track of all participants’ comments and feedback.
  2. Leave each blog host a little love (comment) so they know you stopped by.
  3. When completing the challenges, you must
    1. use at least two different Enmarc chippies for each challenge as well as different chippies for the different challenges. In other words, you cannot use the same 2 chippies for two or more challenges;
    2. comply with each host’s own rules for the specific challenge;
    3. upload a NEWLY created LO or project, this means the LO may not have been uploaded or published anywhere else prior to the start of the Spring Blog Hop.
  4. You must tag each entry with the correct SPR2012 number.  It’s important that you tag them correctly as we won’t have time to be checking every tag and I don’t want anyone to miss out on a draw.  To tag an entry correctly, there must be no space between SPR and 2012 and then followed by a comma and the challenge number. As an example, if I participated in challenge number 3, my tag would read: SPR2012, CH3.
  5. You cannot combine any of the challenges with any other current challenge on the Enmarc Social Network (ning site).  We are running the Blog Hop for a month so you will have plenty of time to complete all 8 blog hop challenges.
  6. If you complete all 8 challenges, make sure to leave a comment for Yvette in the Enmarc Crafts Grand Prize discussion in the forum so she makes sure your name gets into the draw for the grand prize.
  7. All members including the Design Team, Contributing Hosts and Administrators :-) submitting an entry for a challenge are eligible to win a prize for the blog hop challenges, but the DT, hosts and Administrators are not eligible for the grand prize from Enmarc Crafts..
  8. All challenges must be posted in the Enmarc photo gallery by 11:59 pm (South African time) on Sunday 30th September 2012.  As the members are in many different time zones we will be going by the clock on the main page for the time. Hopefully the clock will be in place shortly ;-)
  9. All draws will be done by random.org and the names of the lucky ones will be announced not later than 3 October 2012.
  10. There is no restriction to how many times you can win in all of the challenges, which means you can win more than one prize! Now how cool is that? !

Little Fisherman

Hi Everyone

Today I would like to share with you a layout that I had created with some Enmarc goodies and one of my favourite products, October Afternoon.

So without further adieu, here is the layout.

This is not my usual style and I really wanted to try something different.  I used white modelling paste for my background work area and spread it around with a credit card.  Then I layered on and around this little working area to complete the layout.  I am quite happy with the result and like how this layout turned out.

Materials used:
Enmarc - Wild West Deco Frame
Teresa Collins - Fabrications Canvas - Floral Garden
October Afternoon Papers and stickers from the 5& Dime Collction and Report Card Collection
Dooddlebug Alpha Rub Ons
Basic Grey Sticker

Thanks for popping by today.
I hope you have a super evening.

Atop Schneeberg - Kraft it Up Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone

I found this really super blog - Kraft it Up - and really just loved the sketch that they had for their August Challenge.  I was very excited to get stuck in and see what I could created.

So here is the sketch.

This was the layout that I created.  I kept quite close to the sketch, as I really liked this one.

I used Pink Paislee - London Market papers, butterflies, tags and buttons.  This has really been one of my favourite collections and I still love these gorgeous papers.  I also used Kaisercraft note tags and Petaloo flowers, with Making Memories alphas.

I just love these photo's of Joe, atop Schneeberg Mountain in Austria. He also made me laugh when he was looking through the telescope, as he was looking at the sky and not at the valleys below, and kept saying "Mom, but I can't see anything!!"

Anyways, thanks for visiting my patch today.
Hope you have a super day.

Tough Guy - Let's Scrap Sketch 8-22-12

Hello Everyone

Spring is definitely in the air here by us and I am feeling quite inspired and energetic. There is nothing like the smell of new blossoms and just a freshness in the air! I love it!

Today I am sharing a layout for the new sketch at Let's Scrap.

Here is my take on this sketch.

I used Saturdays collection from Little Yellow Bicycle and just loved working with these papers and accents.  It was really just perfect for this boy page. Instead of chalking the edges I painted the edge and really like the  way that it turned out.

Here is a close-up of the journalling.

Thanks for visiting my patch here today.
I hope you have a super evening.

Scrap Africa - Challenge #8 - You

Hi Everyone

I almost forgot to post this layout from the challenge reveal last week already at Scrap Africa.

This was the challenge here.

I had to use this poster for inspiration.

So here was the layout that I created! I knew that it had to be about my son! ;-)

Here are 2 close-ups.

I used Echo Park papers and accents and a Design Worx chipboard.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a super Monday!

Smile - Prima BAP August

Hi Everyone

It is a lazy Sunday afternoon and I am sitting here, wondering whether I must unleash some creativity and scrap. I might just...but for the meantime I have a little layout to share with you.

This was the sketch for the Prima BAP challenge this month.  I really loved this sketch.

BAPSketchMarieNicolas

And of course...here is my version of that sketch.

The sunburst background is certainly a lot more challenging than it looks and actually took me quite a while.  But the effect is certainly worth it in the end.  Then I did some splash/spray painting and added the circle.  A lot of fussy cutting then also ensued!

I used Alla-Prima Collection papers, Romantique collection papers, Fairy Belle and Sweet Fairy collection papers. I also used Alla-Prima accents, with a Celebr8 chippie and Enmarc swirl corner.

The little note was a quote I found on the internet and was just so true for this layout - Your smile is a curve that sets everything straight.  The curved title was also exactly for that reason.

Well thanks for your patronage and your visits.  I really do appreciate it and your comments.
Have a lovely Sunday afternoon.

Emily - Let's Scrap Challenge

Hi Everyone

I have a vintage layout to share with you today, inspired by a challenge at Let's Scrap and this gorgeous Graphic 45 advert.

I was really inspired by this challenge, and by that gorgeous Graphic 45 advert. The elegant, vintage lady was the inspiration for this layout and so I wanted to create a vintage layout, with a very elegant lady, my Aunt Emily. She was probably about 20 in this photo. I still want to add the details to my layout, but will have to chat with her first.

So here is the layout.

I used Teresa Collins papers, Everyday Moments - Yellow flowers and Calendar, with matching accents, and Making Memories Alphas.

Here are some close-ups.

It has been a while since I have done a vintage layout and so thoroughly enjoyed creating this one.

Thanks so much for popping in.
Take care and have a great Sunday.

Celebrate - My Minds Eye August Challenge

Hi Everyone

I have been scrapping up a storm and have another layout to share with you today.
This layout is for the My Minds Eye Challenge here and is about using 10 photo's on a layout. Now if you don't think that's a challenge, then you would probably be wrong! LOL..
Anyways, here is my double layout (could only be double) and includes 10 photo's.

This was such a happy occasion, as was a friend of Joe's birthday party, and was held at the Sandton Fire Station. It really was such a great event for the kids, as they could ride in the fire engine, go down the fireman's pole and were also sprayed and watered with a hose...the kids had a ball!!

I used Lush Green Houndstooth Paper, Follow your heart Be Amazing paper and Miss Caroline Dilly Dally checkered paper, with On the Bright side and Follow Your Heart accents and cutouts, with a few random rub-ons.  It was so amazing for me that these collections all worked together and I could mix and match them so well.

I also have some hidden journalling behind the fire engine photo on the right top corner of the 2nd page, you can probably just about see the little red tag peaking out.  There really was no space for journalling, other than making it hidden, but I certainly wanted to record some thoughts from that day!!

Here are the 2 separate pages.

Thanks for coming to have a look...
I really appreciate your comments and feedback.
Have a great Friday.

Autumn Fun - Once Upon a Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone

I really wanted to find the time to do the Once Upon a Sketch challenge this month, as I was not able to do it last month, as I was away on holiday.

I loved this month's sketch and here it is.

Here is my version of it.

I took quite a number of photo's last year of Joe playing in the leaves at our local park, and this is one of them that I still had not scrapped and is a favourite of mine!

I used Basic Grey - Hello Luscious papers, chipboard accents and stickers, and no-name leaves and flowers.

Here is a closer look.

I really wasn't sure if I should do some background work on the cardstock, and eventually decided not to. I think the white space is nice.

In any case, thanks for popping by today.
I hope you are having an awesome Thursday.

My Son - Let's Scrap

Hi Everyone

It has been such an exciting week here in Johannesburg, as we had snow 2 days ago, which is a really rare event here in Johannesburg! It was really awesome and such a wonderful experience!
I did take some photo's, so will hopefully be able to scrap them soon.

Today I want to share a layout that I did for Let's Scrap.  The new sketch is here.

Here is my version.

I used My Mind Eye - Miss Caroline papers and Pink Paislee alpha's, with a wooden heart and buttons.

Here is a close-up of the journalling, and is really what makes this layout so precious to me.

Thanks for popping in...
Hope you have a great day..

I also added these 2 close-ups so that you can get a read of the rub-on and the journalling.

Aspang Summer Fun

Hi Everyone

I have a very quick post to share and is about a scrapbook class this coming weekend and had to design a double page layout with some gorgeous My Mind's Eye papers.
