Autumn Adventures - Bo Bunny Autumn Song

Hi Everyone

Happy Friday to you all! I am always such a happy chappie when Friday comes around! ;-)

I have a super page to share with you, using the gorgeous new Autumn Song Collection which you can go and see here. It is really a versatile collection, and has those amazing earthy colours. I am a big fan, as you can tell! ;-))

So look what I created.

I have these super photo's of Joe, from 2 years ago, when we went and took some photo's in the park, just as autumn had started.

Admittedly, this is the first time that I have used crocheted blooms on a project! I have used other crocheted rounds, but never blooms, and so it was really great to use them and I think they are fabulous.

Supplies used:
Patterned Paper: Autumn Song Stripe,Leaves and Notes
Cardstock: Gingerbread Vintage Double Dot
Chipboard: Autumn Song 12x12
Brads: Autumn Song
Noteworthy: Autumn Song
Blossoms: Harvest Orange Bouquet
Stickers: Autumn Song Combo
Stamps: Stained Textures

We are now moving into Spring, but many of you will be moving into Autumn, so perhaps a collection to add to your stash! ;-))

Thanks so much for popping by!
Have a super Friday!

Sweet - Bo Bunny C'est La Vie

Hi Everyone

A busy day behind me and I can finally find a few minutes to sit down and do a little blogging! ;-)

I have a Bo Bunny layout to share with you, using the C'est La Vie collection! This is really such a beautiful collection and it is certainly one of my favourites.

Here's my page.

I am absolutely "sweet" on this page and love how it turned out. These two young ladies are my neices and even though they are a few years older now, I still love this photo

Everything used is Bo Bunny, except for the large chipboard which is Fabscraps. The little butterfly is also Petaloo.

I first painted my Fabscraps chipboard and then inked the edges and spritzed it, with 2 different Enmarc Dazzles. I love that it almost looks as if it has a rough texture.

Thanks for popping by to have a look.
Have a super evening!

Millstream - Sketchbook 365 September Challenge

Hi Everyone

Hope you are having a great start to the week and that your Monday has been a good one.

I have made a page for the sketchbook 365 September challenge.

So here's my take on it.

I did some gesso and crackle on the background and love the rustic feel that it added to this page.

I did the same crackle technique on my lettering.

It took quite a bit of time cutting all the little bits, but think the effect was worth it in the end.

I really wanted to scrap this beautiful photo and is one of the stunning cottages that overlooks one of the trout dams at Millstream in Dullstroom.  We went fly-fishing there in the beginning of July! This was taken in winter time, so I can just imagine how beautiful it must be in the summertime. Peaceful, serene and beautiful is what Millstream is all about.

Supplies used:
Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic papers and die-cuts
Celebr8 fence chipboard
Various cutting dies
W&M chipboard alpha's

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hope to see you soon!

A Day to Remember - MIX IT UP - Bo Bunny

Hello Everyone

I am so thrilled, my first Bo Bunny DT project is up on the blog here. Rhonda Van Ginkel and I were tasked with mixing up the collections to create a page.

Please pop over and have a look! ;-) These new collections are really gorgeous.

Here is my page that I created.

"This photo was taken quite a number of years ago, December 1995, when I was living in London and my brother and parents had come over to visit me. My brother and I are standing in Trafalgar Square, feeding the pigeons. It's such a wonderful memory!"

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Fright Delight Ghouls, Zip-A-Dee-Doodle Collage, The Avenues Shutters
Cardstock: Brilliant Blue Vintage Double Dot, Jade Double Dot
Chipboard: Silver and Gold 12x12, The Avenues 12x12
Brads: The Avenues
Jewels: Licorice, Zip-A-Dee-Doodle
Noteworthy: The Avenues
Blossoms: Denim Blue Zinnia, Denim Blue Daisy
Stickers: Zip-A-Dee-Doodle Combo

I added some gesso to my photo and to the edges of my torn pages, to soften them and allow them to merge into one another, and with the background!

I am a very stingy scrapper and like to use everything, and nothing goes to waste. So my other tip is to use the in between bits of the chipboards. You will see I used the beautiful Silver and Gold chipboard swirl, as well as the in between bits for embellishments.

Thanks so much for popping by!
Hope you have a super Sunday!

Close - Scrap Around the World August Challenge

Hi Everyone

I am so loving the scrapping at the moment. Joe is sitting here next to me, and he is happily drawing away and I am writing this post and scrapping! Bliss! ;-)

I have a page to share with you for the Scrap Around the World Challenge here.
This is the challenge.

I decided to be really bold, as I really liked the cake, with the orange flowers and green leaves. So my colouring comes from that image!

So here is my version.

This is a little different from my usual style, but I am quite happy with how it turned out! I did the masking first and then added my photo along with the stamping.  Then I did lots of fussy cutting on the flowers and then put it all together.

I have a close-up of my journalling here.

I have quite a number of Bo Bunny papers and so decided that I really want to start using them! So I used Hello Sunshine papers and stamps, along with some MME enamel dots and W&M chippies.
The background stencil used was Prima, and the spritz was Enmarc Dazzles, Burnt Orange.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super evening.

Thank You Card

Hi Everyone

Sorry for the delay in posts the last 2 weeks, but I have been working in the background and haven't been able to share it yet! So I promise, that as soon as I can share it, I will.

I have a Thank You card that I made for my card stash, and am really pleased with the way it turned out.
Between Happy Birthday and Thank You cards, they are often used and so it's always nice to have some on hand and does not have to be a rush job on a given day! ;-))

So here's my card.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Et Cetera Cut Outs
Chipboard: Et Cetera 12 x 12
Stamps: Stained Textures Stamp
Blossoms: Harvest Orange Daisy

I wanted to create interest on my card by adding a pocket and placing the title half in/half out of it.

I have thought that I even need to get started on some Christmas cards, because every year the time seems to get away from me! Have you started yet with your Christmas cards and gifts?

Have a super evening!

Fun - Scrap Africa Challenge no.20

Hi Everyone

We have a super new challenge up at Scrap Africa here. This is what the challenge is about.

The challenge is to use the colour scheme of blue, green and white, with more than 1 photo.

Please come and check it out and hopefully play along.

Here is my take on it.

I used October Afternoon Midway papers and accents, along with Celebr8 and Wilpro chipboards.
There is some stamping too with BoBunny stamps.

Here are some close-ups.

This was such a fun day for the kids in Aspang Town last year, where they held a Firebrigade day, to raise money for the local Firebrigade.  The kids loved this tree climbing and Joe had a ball.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a super evening.

Vienna - Prima BAP August 2013

Hello Everyone

I hope you are all having a super Tuesday! I had a super day today, and I am now glad to be home and get dinner started and sorted, so that I can get to some scrappy time, when my son goes to bed.

I finished my Prima BAP page and was really pleased with how it turned out.

Here was the sketch.

2013 August BAP

I loved the layout by the GD Rommel and so I thought I would share it here too.

Bap rommel layout

It inspired me to really go for a larger photo and so that is exactly what I did.
So here is my page.

This is one of my favourite photo's from Vienna last year and I thought the Engraver papers would work well with it.

Here are some close-ups for good measure.

This magnificent statue is just on the corner of the Lippizzaner Horse Arena and is really so beuautiful.

Thanks so much for popping by!
Your visits are really appreciated!
Have a super day!

Remember - OUAS August Challenge

Hi Everyone

I hope you are having a super weekend and finding a little bit of scrappy time! ;-)

I finished a page yesterday for the OUAS challenge and is quite a special page for me.

Journalling Theme: "I'll never forget"

I decided on a vintage page as it was perfect for my theme.

This page is called "Remember" and the photo was taken many years ago, probably about 40 years ago.  This was taken at a wedding and from left to right is my Uncle Sam, Aunty Sonia, Granny Sally and Grandpa Joe. These are the grandparents on my father's side and I was really close to them, especially my Grandmother.

My Grandpa Joe passed away before I even started school and my Grandmother passed away when I was 16. I loved her dearly and there is hardly a week that passes, without me thinking about her! My son Joe is named after Grandpa Joe and I am so very proud to have Joe, have his name.

There are very missed and thought of often! I hope they are looking down on me and seeing my life and the beautiful son I now have! I know how they loved us, and I hope they know how much I still really love them.

BTW, my journalling is behind my page.

I have always been a BoBunny fan and, as you can imagine, I am an even bigger fan now! This Weekend Market Collection was perfect for this page. The brown flower is BoBunny and the small ones Petaloo.

My title, chipboard and bricks are embossed with antique powders and I love how they turned out! If you wonder why I have a small "e" in the title is was absolutely planned! (not!). I was stamping away and used my E and then next minute heard something fall! When I looked again, I could not see my E.  After 5 minutes of searching my ink was starting to dry and so went with the small "e". You can imagine the frustration!! So after another 10min of looking (yes 10 min) I eventually found it had fallen behind a box. Sjoe!!!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a super day!

Not All Who Wander Are Lost - CSI Case File #83 / Sketchbook365 August Sketch Challenge

Hello Everyone

Well I am soooo happy to say that my weekend has started, as tomorrow is a public holiday! So I have 3 days to relax and hopefully lots and lots of scrappy time.

I have a page to share with you today for the new CSI challenge here and the Sketchbook365 challenge here.

So my page incorporates the CSI themes and colours, and the sketch used is the one above.

Evidence: Stripes, Ledger Pattern, Stamps
Testimony: Journey, Place
I have put my journalling on the back of this page:

This is Joe standing on the top of Schneeberg, the highest mountain in Austria! It is such an awesome place, where you can stand and look for miles and miles! It literally feels like you are standing on the top of the world.

Instead of Joe turning the telescope down and looking into the valleys, he preferred to look up and see the sky, clouds and birds that were flying overhead.

He had to reach up on his tip-toes, to get his eyes to the viewer. It was so cute to watch him and he was enthralled.

The journey up the mountain is also a magnificent train ride, that takes you to the edge of your seat! It is a steam train that is helped up by a chain, as the angle is so steep! It is the best train ride we have ever had!

Schneeberg, was certainly one of the high-points of Austria! ;-)

Supplies used:
Teresa Collins Far Away Collection
7 Gypsies Stamps
Enmarc Chipboard Frame
Wilpro Chipboard Arrows
Stencil and paints

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a super evening!

Fun - CSI Case File no.82

Hello Everyone

I love weekends, and this is no exception! It's always great to have time to scrap, as well as catch up with friends, relax and just chill!

I also spend some time this morning cleaning and organising my scrap room! It is like a new wave of inspiration has swept over me and I am ready to scrap up a storm! ;-)

I finished my page for the Case File no. 82.

So here is what I created.

Evidence: Stamps, Wet Medium
Testimony: Hot, Fun

I so love summer and I really look forward to it arriving soon! Probably a little early, but a girl can dream!!! LOL

I know a little boy who is also waiting for summer, because he already asked my last weekend, if he could swim!!! I mean it is kinda still African winter here and the water is freezing, so my answer was a resounding NO!

In any case, my journalling is about this love for summer and swimming.
Journalling says: There is nothing better than spending time in the pool on a hot summers day! This is Joe's favourite pastime! He is a little fishy!

I used My Mind's Eye Kate and Co. Oxford Lane collection, along with an Enmarc Chipboard, Pink Paislee Stencil and a Bo Bunny stamp.

Thanks for popping by, hope you have a super Sunday!

Sing Your Own Song - Scrap Africa Sketch no.20

Morning Everyone

It's a super day today! It's my Dad's birthday today and I also have some news to share with you, but will only do that later on.

We have a new sketch challenge at Scrap Africa here.

Keren Tamir is our guest designer for this challenge and she created a gorgeous page for us. Please pop over and have a look! ;-)

Here is my version.

I really love how this page turned out and so love the soft colouring.  I used Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic Collection, along with some Petaloo and Prima flowers.  The chippie is Enmarc crafts and was roughly dabbed with gesso and then spritzed.

Some close-ups for good measure.

This picture is of my neice a few years back, and she is turning into a beautiful young lady! My wish for her is that she would not just blend in with the crowd and follow the masses, but really find her own tune and "Sing her own song".

Thanks for popping by!
I hope you will join in the fun.
Have a super day!
